One side is softer and the side that is cooler definitely is cooler when you touch it, reason I took one star off is because it dose get hot the longer you sleep on it. If you want a pillow that is well put together and very comfortable this is the one. I’m happy with it and would buy it again…thinking about getting one for my hubby. This is my honest opinion.
